BGSU Programs
Semester/Academic
Year Programs
Students have the opportunity to study abroad
for the fall semester, spring semester or full
academic year through Bowling Green State University.
BGSU sponsors 21 semester or academic year
programs in 16 countries world-wide. Each program
is coordinated by a Bowling Green faculty member
under the guidance and supervision of the Education
Abroad Office. Students receive BGSU credit
when studying abroad on a BGSU program and
will be registered under a BGSU course number.
Bowling Green students can use all of their
institutional, state and federal financial
aid when participating on a Bowing Green program.
Short
Term Programs
Students have the opportunity to study abroad
on short-term programs through Bowling Green
State University. Short-term programs range
from 1 – 10 weeks and occur during the
summer or over winter break. BGSU sponsors
approximately 12 short-term programs in 11
countries world-wide. Each program is coordinated
by a Bowling Green faculty member under the
guidance and supervision of the Education Abroad
Office. Students receive BGSU credit and will
be registered under a BGSU course number when
studying on a BGSU program. Interested students should check with the Education Abroad office for current programs.
Spring Break-Away Programs
Break away from the norm! Spend your spring break in an international
setting! Students enroll in a spring semester course which
includes a study abroad component during spring break. Get
a taste of what studying abroad would really be like or use
this as an opportunity to visit a new destination.
Ohio International
Consortium (OIC)
As a member of the Ohio International Consortium,
Bowling Green State University can send students
to over 42 countries world-wide while students
utilize their institutional, state and federal
aid. (Note: Participants in BGSU’s President’s
Leadership Academy are not able to use their
scholarship for OIC programs.) BGSU welcomes
applications from students at other member

Non-BGSU Programs
Every year Bowling Green students study abroad
on non-Bowling Green programs which are programs
accredited by other institutions. Federal aid
is utilizable. Students seeking to study abroad
on a non-Bowling Green program must apply through
the Education Abroad office. For information
